  • 1 quart milk (chilled)
  • 4 eggs
  • 14 cup sugar
  • 1 12 teaspoons vanilla
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg (pinch)

Directions

    Beat 3 eggs and 1 egg yolk until thick and light in color.

    Add 3 1/2 tablespoons of sugar, beating thoroughly.

    Stir in milk, vanilla, and salt.

    Pour mixture in glass.

    Beat remaining egg white until almost stiff, add remaining sugar and beat until stiff.

    Pour in glass over mixture above and sprinkle nutmeg as desired.
