- 6 eggs
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 qt. milk, divided
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In large saucepan, beat together eggs and sugar.

2Stir in 2 cups milk.

3Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and coats a metal spoon.

4Remove from heat and stir in remaining 2 cup milk and vanilla.

5Cover and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, several hours.

6Just before serving, stir in cinnamon stick and ground nutmeg.
