- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 lb. (2 pkg.) chipped beef, cut up
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 cans mushrooms, drained (save 1/2 for top)
- 1/2 c. flour
- pepper
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 doz. large eggs
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- salt
Directions

1Place the bacon, beef, 1/4 cup butter and mushrooms in a large frying pan.

2Sprinkle the flour and some pepper over mixture. Gradually add the milk.

3Cook until thick.

4In another pan, scramble 1 dozen eggs.

5Add dash of salt, 1/4 cup butter and the evaporated milk.

6Layer in 10 x 10 x 2-inch casserole dish, eggs first, then cover with meat mixture.

7Alternate until all is used, ending with meat mixture.

8Sprinkle remaining mushrooms on top. Bake, uncovered, in Corning glass dish at 270° for 45 minutes.
