- 6 c. shredded lettuce
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- sliced tomatoes
- 1 (1 lb.) can green peas, drained
- mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- grated cheese (lots)
- 8 slices crumbled bacon, fried first
Directions

1In a large bowl, layer salad in order beginning with lettuce. Spread mayonnaise over top of green peas as you would spread a meringue.

2Spread to edges of bowl.

3(This layer must be sealed completely.)

4Sprinkle over mayonnaise 2 tablespoons of sugar, grated cheese and bacon.

5Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate from 4 to 24 hours before serving.

6When serving, be careful not to scoop off the top but dig down in.
