- 1/2 pkg. elbow macaroni
- 1 lb. loose sausage
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- buttered bread crumbs
Directions

1Fry sausage and remove from pan, saving 4 tablespoons fat. Saute onions and pepper; add tomatoes and seasonings and simmer 15 minutes.

2Add sausage.

3Cook elbow macaroni.

4Alternate layers of macaroni and sausage mixture.

5Bake with bread crumbs on top at 350° for 30 minutes.
