- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 4 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. water
- 2 c. taco or picante sauce
- 12 corn tortillas
- 1 lb. Jack cheese, shredded
- 1 c. sour cream
Directions

1Cook beef and onion until browned; drain.

2Add cumin, garlic, chili powder, salt, pepper and water.

3Simmer 10 minutes, uncovered, until most of liquid is gone.

4Pour 1/2 cup taco sauce in the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.

5Put 1/2 of tortillas.

6Spoon 1/2 cup taco sauce on tortillas.

7Spoon on 1/2 of the beef mix. Top with sour cream and 1/2 of cheese.

8Repeat layers.

9Cover with foil.

10Can be refrigerated up to 24 hours at this point.

11Bake 40 minutes at 375°.

12Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes.
