- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 to 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 6 corn tortillas
- 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions

1Heat oil.

2Add onion and garlic.

3Saute until golden brown. Add meat and brown.

4Sprinkle flour over meat and onion.

5Add tomato sauce, water, vinegar, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer 20 minutes.

6Line greased casserole with some sauce.

7Add tortilla and top with grated cheese and sauce.

8Repeat another layer.

9Sprinkle cheese on top.

10Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
