England Pound Cake

  • 1 lb. margarine or butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 lb. box powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream the soft margarine and sugar together until fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add vanilla and then add flour.

    Pour in tube pan or Bundt pan and bake in a 350° oven for 35 minutes. Reduce heat to 325° until done.

    This makes a good, heavy pound cake.
