- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 c. flour
- 1 (6 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped nutmeats
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Melt margarine and add to it the brown sugar, vanilla and egg yolk.

3Beat until fluffy.

4Add the flour and blend together.

5Mixture will be quite thick.

6Spread into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

7Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and put back in oven for 5 minutes.

8Remove from oven and sprinkle with nutmeats.

9Cut while warm.

10Makes about 2 dozen bars.
