- 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
- 16 oz. frozen strawberries, halved and thawed
- 2 c. vanilla pudding
- 1 c. chilled whipping cream
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. toasted, slivered almonds
Directions

1Bake cake mix in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

2Cut cake crosswise in half.

3(Freeze 1/2 for future use.)

4Cut other half into light pieces.

5Split each piece horizontally.

6Arrange half the pieces in a 2-quart glass bowl, cutting pieces to fit.

7Pour 1/2 the thawed strawberries over cake; spread with 1/2 the pudding.

8Repeat. Cover and chill for at least 8 hours.

9In chilled bowl, beat cream and sugar until stiff.

10Spread over trifle.

11Sprinkle with almonds. Garnish with whole strawberries.
