Ingredients

  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 2 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 c. flour

Directions

    Heat sour cream over very low heat in a nonstick saucepan. Stir in sugar, salt and butter.

    Sit aside and cool until lukewarm.

    In large bowl, sprinkle yeast over warm water, stirring until completely dissolved.

    Add sour cream mixture, eggs and flour.

    Mix well until a mound forms in the bottom of the bowl. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.

    The next day, go on to steps 2 and 3.
