  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. Bran Buds
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 pt. buttermilk
  • 2 c. All-Bran

Directions

    Combine boiling water and Bran Buds; let stand.

    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs; add flour, salt, and soda alternately with buttermilk.

    Add Bran Buds and All-Bran.

    Keep in covered container in fridge for 3 to 4 weeks.

    Bake as needed.

    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400°.
