- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 c. flour
- 2 c. applesauce
Directions

1Cream butter; blend in sugar, eggs, nuts, cinnamon, soda, allspice and salt.

2Mix well.

3Add flour and applesauce; mix well.

4Batter will keep 6 weeks in refrigerator and can be used as needed or baked and frozen ahead.

5Grease muffin tin and fill half full.

6Bake in 350° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

7Makes 40 to 50 muffins.
