- 1 1/4 lb. cooking apples
- 2 oz. sugar
- 1/2 pt. water
- 3 oz. butter or margarine
- 3 oz. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 oz. self-rising flour
Directions

1Peel, core and slice apples.

2Put in pie dish with sugar and water.

3Bake in moderate oven 10 minutes.

4Cream together butter and sugar.

5Gradually beat in eggs and stir in flour.

6Spread this mixture over hot apples.

7Return to oven for 35 minutes.

8Sprinkle over with sugar before serving.
