  • 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 c. melted margarine
  • pecans (optional)
  • coconut (optional)
  • 1 (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

    Melt caramels and evaporated milk together slowly and set aside.
  2. 2
    Combine German chocolate cake mix and melted margarine. Put 1/2 cake mixture in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 6 to 7 minutes.
