- 1 cup dried fig
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 5 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups bran flakes
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°F.

2Grease muffin tins.

3Pour boiling water over figs, cover and let stand for ten minutes.

4Drain, pick out any stems and chop.

5While figs are soaking, sift next four ingredients together.

6Add bran flakes.

7Combine milk, beaten eggs and melted butter; add to dry ingredients and figs, stirring until just blended.

8Fill prepared muffin tins 2/3 full.

9Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
