- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter or oleo
- 4 eggs
- 1 pt. fig preserves
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. nuts
Directions

1Cream butter with sugar; add eggs 1 at a time.

2Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together.

3Add to batter alternating with figs and milk.

4Add vanilla and nuts.

5Bake 1 hour or more at 325° in a tube pan.
