- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 pound figs
- 1/4 pound suet
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3 eggs
- 5 tablespoons sugar
- grated nutmeg
- butter
Directions

1Chop up the figs rather finely, and put them in a saucepan with the milk to cook for a quarter of an hour.

2Put into a basin the bread crumbs, flour, and suet. Chopped up finely; also add the sugar and a very little grater nutmeg and mix them well together. Add the figs and milk, then the eggs well beaten, and whisk all thoroughly up with a fork.

3Butter a shape, and pour the pudding in, cover with buttered paper and steam for two hours.

4Serve with sweet sauce.
