- 1/2 c. meal (plain, not self-rising)
- 1 egg
- seasoning (garlic, black pepper or celery seed)
- cracker crumbs
- 1 medium onion, chopped fine
Directions

1Place fish in a medium bowl; use fork to break up and mix. Add meal; then blend in egg, well.

2Use seasonings and add chopped onion, mixing well.

3Roll in cracker crumbs or meal by tablespoon to make flat cakes.

4Brown in oil (Crisco, Puritan or olive oil).
