  • 2 lb. haddock
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 c. milk and cream or evaporated milk
  • 1 c. water that fish and potatoes were cooked in
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour

Directions

    Simmer the haddock, potatoes and onions in water.

    Drain, reserve 1 cup.

    Add milk, salt and pepper; heat.

    Do not let boil. In a separate pan, melt the butter and add the flour.

    Add to the chowder to thicken.
