  • 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Land O Lakes Egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • Food color, if desired
  • Decorator sugars, edible sprinkles, etc.

Directions

    Combine 1 cup butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in bowl.

    Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.

    Add flour and baking powder; beat at low speed until well mixed.

    Divide dough into thirds.

    Shape each third into ball.

    Wrap each in plastic food wrap; flatten to 1/2 inch.

    Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

    Heat oven to 400F.

    Roll out dough, one-third at a time, on lightly floured surface (keeping remaining dough refrigerated) to 1/8-inch thickness.
