  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. each: coconut, butter, rum, lemon and vanilla flavorings

    Cream together margarine, shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time,

    beating thoroughly after each addition.

    Sift together flour and baking powder.

    To the batter, add milk and flour alternately.

    Add flavorings and beat well.

    Bake in a large greased Bundt or tube at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Glaze.
