  • 2 c. V-8 juice
  • 2 Tbsp. onion soup mix
  • 3 Tbsp. instant tapioca
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean stew meat or venison, cubed
  • 1 qt. frozen green beans
  • 2 c. diced carrots
  • 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms (optional)

Directions

    Combine first four ingredients and let stand for 20 minutes. Layer remaining ingredients in a large, deep casserole dish.

    Pour liquid over layers.

    Bake at 325° for five hours. Serves 6.
