- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

2Gradually add the sugar, beating until all sugar is dissolved and peaks are stiff and glossy.

3Carefully spread the meringue over hot, cooked filling, being careful to seal the meringue to edge of pie crust all the way around.

4Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes or until meringue peaks are golden.
