- 1 pound swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup Kirsch
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 cups dry white wine
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg or paprika
- 1 1/2 loaves french bread
Directions

1Place swiss cheese in bowl, sprinkle with flour and mix. Cut garlic clove in half and rub inside of fondue pot until well seasoned. Pour wine into the fondue pot (over low heat) until bubbles rise to the surface. Do Not Boil. Add lemon juice and swiss cheese to pot, constantly stirring with fork or spoon until cheese is melted. After the last of the cheese has been added and is melted and begins to bubble, add Kirsch and seasonings. Stir gently until mixture is blended. Slice bread into 1/2 inch slices and dip.
