  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Mix together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt, and sugar.

    Cut in shortening.

    Beat milk and egg together, add to flour mixture.

    Knead on floured board, roll out dough, cut biscuits and freeze.

    When ready to use:

    place frozen biscuits on cookie sheet and bake at 425° for about 20 minutes or until done.
