Ingredients

  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. celery seed (if desired)
  • 1 cabbage head
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt (mix salt in well)

Directions

    Chop vegetables any way you wish and add salt.

    Let stand for 1 hour, then pour and squeeze off all liquids.

    Add first mixture. Mix together well and put in cartons.

    Freeze.

    When you thaw, drain off liquid and add mayonnaise or dressing if you wish.
