- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
Directions

1Cream butter, sugar and 1 egg at a time; cream thoroughly. Add salt and vanilla; stir in alternately part of milk and 2 cups of flour.

2Mix baking powder in third cup of flour; continue milk and flour until a thick smooth batter.

3Deep fry in at least 2 inches of hot fat (400°).

4Self turning, done on second turn. (First batter, push off by finger.)
