Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 c. Puritan oil
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 c. white wine or white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed fresh herb (tarragon, mint, basil, dill, rosemary, chives or oregano)

Directions

    Shake vinegar and herb in tightly covered glass jar or bottle. Store in cool, dry place 10 days.

    Strain vinegar.

    Place one sprig of fresh herb, berries or garlic clove in jar to identify, if desired. 2 cups vinegar; 2 calories per tablespoon.
