- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 large onion
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 c. mashed potato
- 2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- pastry for double crust (9-inch)
- 1 egg, beaten (optional)
Directions

1In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.

2Saute onions until tender.

3Remove and set aside.

4Brown beef and pork together. Drain.

5Combine onion, meat, potato and seasonings.

6Line pie plate with pastry.

7Fill with meat mixture.

8Top with crust.

9Seal and flute edges.

10Make slits on top crust.

11Brush with egg, if desired.

12Bake at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Bon appetit.
