- 4 large onions, sliced
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 6 c. beef broth
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 6 to 8 slices French bread, toasted
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. Swiss cheese, grated
Directions

1Saute onions in margarine in large pot for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

2Stir in broth, salt and pepper.

3Bring to boiling.

4Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
