French Onion Soup

  • 4 large onions, sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 6 c. beef broth
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 6 to 8 slices French bread, toasted
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c. Swiss cheese, grated

Directions

    Saute onions in margarine in large pot for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

    Stir in broth, salt and pepper.

    Bring to boiling.

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 minutes.
