French Pear Pudding

- 1 egg
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 (1 lb.) can pears, drained
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Beat egg slightly.

3Stir in sour cream and vanilla.

4Mix together sugar and 1 tablespoon flour.

5Add to sour cream mixture and mix well.

6Quarter pears and arrange in shallow baking dish.

7Top with the sour cream mixture.

8Bake 15 minutes. While pudding bakes, combine brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour and nutmeg in another small bowl.

9Cut in butter until mixture resembles cornmeal.

10Sprinkle over pudding and then bake another 15 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
