- 6 to 8 large lettuce leaves
- 2 lb. fresh peas, shelled
- 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced green onions or scallions
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Cover the bottom and sides of a 10-inch skillet with some of the moist lettuce leaves.

2Top with peas, green onions, sugar, salt and pepper and dot with butter.

3Cover skillet and cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes.

4Remove lettuce leaves.

5Toss peas well before serving.

6Makes 4 servings.
