  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can onion soup
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms, undrained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, undrained
  • 1 c. uncooked regular rice

Directions

    Combine soup and butter.

    Stir. Drain mushrooms and water chestnuts. Save liquid.

    Add enough water to reserved liquid to make 1 1/3 cups.

    Add mushrooms, chestnuts, liquid and rice to soup.

    Stir and pour into greased 10 x 6 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° covered for 1 hour.
