  • 4 thick slices white bread with the crusts cut off
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Break eggs into a dish and beat them well.

    Season with salt and pepper.

    Heat butter and oil in a frying pan.

    It should be hot but not smoking.

    Dip slices of bread in egg.

    Let any extra egg drain back into dish.
