  • 1 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. dates, chopped
  • 3 c. fresh apples, chopped fine
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Mix oil and sugar; add eggs one at a time.

    Add vanilla.

    Mix together flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, apples, dates and nuts.

    Add to other mixture.

    Grease and flour pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours in a tube or Bundt pan. If you freeze cake, use only 1 1/4 cups oil.
