  • 1 1/2 c. margarine or oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 3 c. chopped apples

    Chop apples and set aside.

    Measure oil into large bowl; add sugar, egg and vanilla.

    Beat until creamy.

    Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together.

    Add small amounts at a time to creamed mixture.

    Fold in pecans and apples.

    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan for 55 to 60 minutes at 350°.
