  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten well
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 3 c. peeled and chopped apples

Directions

    Combine oil and sugar; beat well.

    Beat into eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and soda.

    Add to oil mixture.
  4. 4
    Stir in nuts and apples.

    Pour into greased 10-inch tube pan and bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.

    May be baked in a 9 x 13-inch pan; bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
