  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. tart apples, diced
  • 1 c. walnuts, chopped

Directions

    In mixing bowl, cream the oil and sugar; beat in eggs. Thoroughly stir together the flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

    Stir into creamed mixture.

    Stir in apples and nuts.

    Pour into well-greased tube pan.

    Bake for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean in a 350° oven.
