  • 1 stick butter or oleo (1/2 c.)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 apples, washed, cored and chopped fine (to measure 3 c.)

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Cream butter gradually.

    Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.

    Beat in eggs, one at a time.

    Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Gradually add to egg mixture.

    Stir in apples and nuts. Turn into greased and floured pan (13 x 9-inches).
