  • 1 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 large apples, cut in small pieces

Directions

    Combine oil, sugar and eggs; beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla.

    Fold in apples and pecans. Bake in tube pan that has been greased and floured at 350° about 1 1/2 hours.

    Let cool 20 minutes.

    Pour sauce over cake while it is still warm.
