- 1 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. pecans
- 2 c. grated pears
Directions

1Peel and grate pears.

2Beat oil, eggs, sugar and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; mix well with creamed mixture.

3Add pears and pecans; stir by hand.

4Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.

5Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.

6If using 2 loaf pans, bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

7Bake a Bundt pan for 60 minutes and a tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

8Serve warm or cold with whipped cream, sprinkled with nutmeg or ice cream.
