Ingredients

  • 2 c. fresh basil
  • 1/4 c. pine nuts
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/2 c. fresh grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt to taste
  • extra olive oil for storage of pesto

Directions

    Place all ingredients in food processor or blender and blend until smooth.

    Cover pesto with thin layer of olive oil and refrigerate in a tightly sealed jar.

    If stored this way, it will keep well for up to 6 months.
