Fried Apple Pie

- 4 c. dried apples, cooked and drained
- 1 stick butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- your favorite biscuit pastry
- vegetable shortening
Directions

1Put apples in a pan and cover with water.

2Cook until apples are good and tender, approximately 1 hour.

3Drain excess water off apples.

4Mix the rest of the ingredients with the apples.

5Put in refrigerator until cold.

6Roll dough out about the size of a saucer.

7Put 2 tablespoons apple mixture to one side of the dough. Then cover with the other half.

8Press down edges with a floured fork.
-
9Place on waxed paper that is sprinkled with flour.

10Make all pies.
-
11Fry in iron skillet in hot shortening.

12Drain on paper towel.

13Makes 18.
