- 3 egg yolks
- 1 whole egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 Tbsp. rum flavoring
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
Directions

1Beat yolks, whole egg and salt together until very stiff, about 10 minutes.

2Blend in sugar and flavorings.

3Add flour all at once. Mix well.

4Knead until blistered about 7 minutes.

5Divide in half. Roll out very thin.

6Cut dough into 4 x 2-inch diamonds.

7Make 1-inch slit in diamond.

8Draw point of diamond through slit.

9Fry in hot fat until brown.

10Turn and fry other side.

11Drain on paper. Before serving, sprinkle with confectioners sugar or drizzle with honey.
