Fried Catfish

  • 4 lb. catfish fillets
  • 1 c. milk (for marinating)
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • oil (for pan or deep frying)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cut fish into serving pieces.

    Soak fish pieces in milk for 1 hour.

    Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper and seasonings together. Drain fish and coat with cornmeal mixture.

    Deep fry in oil at 375° a few pieces at a time until golden brown or pan-fry on both sides until lightly brown and done to your liking.
