- 2 (12 lb) bags chestnuts
- 12 cup butter
Directions

1Spread chestnuts as evenly as you can in a frying pan (or if you wish a cauldron with 1/2 cup of water).

2Put the butter into the pan (or cauldron) and roast the chestnuts as evenly as you can.

3This takes about 12-18 minutes, depending on the size of the chestnuts.

4After roasting cool to room temperature and eat/serve.
