- 12 cup margarine
- 3 tablespoons bacon drippings, divided
- 5 cups fresh corn (cut off the cob)
- 2 cups water, divided
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon self-rising flour
Directions

1Melt margarine in an 8 or 10 inch skillet.

2Add 2 tbsp bacon drippings.

3Stir fresh corn into the skillet.

4Add 1 cup water, salt, sugar, pepper and flour.

5Coover over medium to high heat, stirring often.

6Cover and cook liquid down, then add second cup of water.

7Cook liquid down again.
-
8Turn burner down to meidum low and stirin remaining bacon drippings.

9Stir constantly to prevent scorching.

10Remove form heat when corn has thickened.
