- 4 medium size green tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 c. (approximately) flour
- vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
Directions

1Slice tomatoes about 1/2-inch thick. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

2Dust slices with flour on all sides.

3Pour oil into a large frying pan to depth of about 1/4-inch.

4Place over medium heat. While oil heats, dip tomato slices into egg to coat on all sides. Fry tomatoes, about half at a time, turning once, until golden brown on all sides.

5Serve hot.
