- 1 lb. okra
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/2 c. milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- cooking oil (enough to cover bottom of pan)
Directions

1Cut okra into 1-inch pieces; season to taste.

2In small bowl, beat egg and add milk.

3Dip okra in mixture and roll in corn meal. Fry in deep fat until crisp and brown.

4Drain on paper towels.
